MISSION
Filipino International Film Festival Los Angeles (FIFFLA) is a non-profit organization created to promote Filipino talent and Filipino culture through cinema.
The mission of FIFFLA is to raise awareness of Filipino films and Filipino artistry in the United States and internationally. We want to bridge Philippine Cinema and independent filmmakers directly with Hollywood by mentoring and supporting independent diverse content with the development of newly created audio-visual arts. In turn by elevating our current standards of Filipino films with better ideals, story development and visual concepts as it will only help preserve our cultural cinematic history with a better representation of our culture globally.
OBJECTIVE
Filipino International Film Festival Los Angeles (FIFFLA) is to showcase and highlight our achievements in films with our grand cinematic past while we guide and nurture our present and a glimpse into our future with great emerging Filipino talent while providing an outlet and possible distribution opportunities for Filipino films and independent filmmakers.
As the only Filipino film festival in Los Angeles, we want to be synonymous within the Hollywood community as a premier film festival for Filipino films and Filipino talent. FIFFLA wants to represent and preserve the very best of all things artistic at the same time highlight the beauty of Filipino culture and heritage.
FIFFLA presents feature films, shorts, animation, and documentaries. The films presented at FIFFLA will be a wide range of subject matter by Filipino producers, actors, writers and directors coming from the Philippines, United States and other international places, as we are open to any Filipino filmmakers. FIFFLA will offer panels, educational programs, youth classes, industry workshops, networking receptions and galas for the benefit of Filipino artists and community.
